A textile mystery

I know very little about this textile, so I can't tell you a lot about it.  

However, I soon hope that we will all know a lot more about this textile, as some of the Textile Design History Students are researching it.  

For now, we can all enjoy how beautiful this textile is.

    Looks like an apron, part of the Sardinian traditional costume, southern part of the isle :). Excited to know the true answer.
